Michigan’s 3,mile freshwater coastline is a boater’s delight. The Great Lakes--Huron, Michigan, Superior and Erie are spectacular glacial waterways. More than 80 Great Lakes harbors and marinas provide slips or dock space. Add sandy beaches, rocky and forested shores, historic lighthouses, remote islands, waterfront villages and port. The new road was built north from Michigan Avenue to Grand River Avenue in The extension to the state line was finished in , and the remainder to Dixie Highway north of Pontiac was done in At the time, US 24 was extended north to the corner of Telegraph and Square Lake roads, with M routed along the western Pontiac end: I near Clarkston.

In September The River began as a little church of 61 people on Lake Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a call to reach far-from-Christ and hurting people. With this mission, The River quickly outgrew their first small building and purchased a larger building downtown for only $ God truly provided an incredible gift. People seem to judge Michigan because of Detroit, Flint, and Saginaw. Those cities combined hold less than 10% of the states population though. Outside of those 3 cities, it really is a fantastic state with ton of beautiful natural landmarks.
